Update on Joe DeMartines 6/21/2010 from Tony Volante
 

Joe was transferred to a rehab last Tuesday June 15, 2010. I have been in contact with his wife Angie.  I did visit him while he was at Holy Cross Hospital. He needs your prayers for a speedy recovery.

 

He will be in rehab for about 30 days.  They want to take the tube out of his throat and let him breathe on his own.  The following is the information on the Rehab place:

Initial Report on Joe  6/8/2010

 

Joe was admitted into Holy Cross Hospital, Mission Hills on May 11, 1010 with Double Pneumonia.  Today June 8, he underwent a Tracheostomy surgery.  He had a tube placed in his throat so he could breathe better.  They were able to remove all of the other devices in his nose & mouth.  The doctor said the surgery went well. He is in ICU and will be there for awhile and than moved to a rehab facility.  Barbara and I will visit him today June 8. I will keep you updated as I will stay close to the family and his wife Angie.
